We Envision...
… a summer day camp for Queer and Trans campers in elementary and middle school, including a caregiver component, creating a year-round community for families.
Themed weeks offer the fun and adventure of summer camp along with lessons from Teen Connections that empower campers with information about identity and self-advocacy.
Caregivers will meet each morning for curriculum designed to support you and your kiddos. Year-round online and in person events engage caregivers and provide a supportive community

We hope that families will travel from all over the Southeast to visit Charleston and participate in QT summer camp and year-round events.
Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth in the South
Marginalized Kids
Famous Adventures summer camp provides outdoor adventures in Charleston, SC. Our inclusive values attract LGBTQIA+ caregivers and campers, who tell us there are not many safe places for their children.
Educational Needs
South Carolina health education is not required to be "scientifically accurate" by law. Dani and Kyndra become certified to teach Our Whole Lives, inclusive sexuality education programs, offered by area churches. Each class is overfilled with long waitlists
Anti-LGBT Legislation
The "Save Women's Sports Act" bans transgender students from participating in school sports.
Famous Adventures invites LGBT youth to a camp designed for them.
Nadia, at Teen Connections, steps in to provide empowering education programs.
501(c)(3) Status
In 2024, QT Camp is launched as a stand-alone non-profit, and our first summer is fully funded by generous community support. 22 youth attend two weeks of camp.
Continuing Needs
In 2024, 669 anti-trans bills are filed in the United States. Similar summer camps and programs for LGBTQIA+ youth are unable to continue programming, dismantled by state legislation or threats from individuals. QT Camp is committed to continuing our work.
